Can I rent a tent just in case it rains and cancel for a refund if it does not? The answer is yes - if you purchase the Cancellation, Damage and Weather (CDW) waiver. This will give you the right to cancel an item up to 3 days before your rental installation (NOT RENTAL) begins. With the waiver, you have a 20% deductible but can get a cash refund for the remainder. The cost of the CDW waiver, insurance, special orders and items already completed are at the contracted cost (not refundable). The CDW waiver costs 15%-20% of your contract cost and also helps protect against damage and loss of rentals due to weather and unexpected emergencies. It is highly recommended - the cost of rental items typically is 12 times the daily rental. If you do not purchase the waiver you can cancel under the standard contract cancellation terms by sending the form at http://cc.amerevent.com. If cancelled 31-60 days before delivery, a 40% cancellation fee applies; 21-30 days before a 50% cancellation fee applies; 7-20 days before a 60% cancellation fee applies; and if under 7 days a 75% cancellation fee applies. Once delivered items cannot be cancelled. Funds remaining after cancellation are available only as a future event credit, not as cash. This option is not really designed for use as a rain plan.
